I had the same question but was explained that Adi Da did not likely read every single word that was changed every time a new version came out so was probably unaware that it was altered in any way in 2004.
He had approved other changes so this was likely ‘slipped under the radar’. He had decided at some point to empower Editors yet never stopped shouting about the potential for His Work to be changed by them (be it as regards His Written Word and His Divine Image Art). He knew full well it was a potential liability of egoity.
It’s one thing to make a mistake, honest or even dishonest. It’s another to cover it up or act like it never happened while simultaneously acting holier than thou.
Adi Da didn’t behave that way Himself.
Similar acts to alter photographs (photoshop actual devotees out of Sacred Historical photographs) were also made many times. Those photographs remain to this day in published accounts of the Sacred History with actual devotees, instrumental to His life‘S Work just vanished from the Sacred History, along with altering the Sacred History Calendar to reinstate events that He Instructed specifically should be removed and other similar changes like this have all occurred in the same spirit). So this behavior was not a one-off.
As stated before: all such other one-off biographies created/generated by individuals are great and should not be trivialized by my statements, but also: do not a Sacred Collective Leela make (as regards what He was making a point to me about on His bed) nor do a True Culture make.
In fact, He pointed out that implicitly all I knew of Him were a bunch of random stories passed on to me (in the form of such published books by random devotees), not a comprehensive Leelas Literature which was reflective of the whole of His Work (and potentially every point of view in time and space that He Has Penetrated)! Therefore it’s fine and good, but where’s the embrace of all that work into such a collective publication? Where’s the encouragement of all others to account for their stories to be included?
Even getting the original group of devotees who were present in the room in 1986 to come back into a room together just a few years ago, in an attempt to get the story straight was virtually impossible and a nightmare at best, and still as of yet with nothing to show for it.
I cannot speak for the administrator of this website and may soon be leaving the building myself given the echo-chamber it is starting to represent.
All I know is that every time I’ve spoken openly about anything like this in the past, the moment the ‘authorities’ become aware of it, I have become gravely ill. So there’s always a risk of that happening again this time and maybe it’s a blessing that they haven’t caught wind of it until then.
But I don’t have anything to prove, this is between Beloved and I. He Stated to me ‘I expect her to change this pattern around me. And yet she should be completely aware that it’s virtually impossible to change it…as I’ve tried and I can’t do anything to change it.’
And…’She should be aware that just because someone has been around me for 30 years does not mean that they are recognizing Me, As I Am.’
Maybe the administrator sent this barge down the river to float on its own.
